WHO WE ARE

Green Way Fitness is a state of the art health and fitness studio in the heart of Roberts Creek. 

The studio boasts a wide variety of high end equipment. Owned and operated by fitness coach Phil de Kovachich, with a passion for making fitness accessible and fun by individualizing each session to be engaging.

About the owner

Phil de Kovachich

Over 5 years spent in leadership roles in the fitness industry. Phil spent two years between 2016-2018 managing a 5,000 member commercial gym in Cote St Luc, Montreal. In this role he made showing up to the gym a pleasant experience for thousands of clients.

Phil continued into private studio fitness to focus on personal training with a specialization on rehabilitation and general fitness. Over the years he has worked with clients from all levels: athletes, young mothers returning to activity, couples who want to get back into shape together, as well as the active aging population.

My mission is to improve your quality of life through exercise progression and mastery of your body’s mechanics. I will help you achieve your goals by improving all aspects of your health using a multidisciplinary approach of strength development, cardiovascular conditioning as well as balance, stability and flexibility.

    Working out shouldn’t be a chore, which is why I have developed an approachable and adaptable style of coaching to make exercise fun and challenging for you.

    My goal is to improve your overall quality of life using a multidisciplinary approach of strength development, cardiovascular conditioning as well as balance, stability and flexibility. Having variation in your workouts helps you maintain interest in your routines and look forward to your next session.

  • EMPATHETIC COACHING

    My judgement free attitude will make you feel comfortable and confident in committing to a healthier lifestyle. This is not a one size fits all approach, I take many factors into account (age, exercise history, medical history, past injuries, occupation, etc.) when planning your fitness program. When training with me you can be assured your concerns will be addressed and you will be working through challenges that are tailored to your specific wellness goals.

    I offer solutions that are relevant and customized to each client rather than cookie cutter/general guidance.

    I excel at adjusting exercises as needed throughout your workouts based on your ever changing skill and fitness levels, and track a wide range of factors beyond your weight to measure and help you visualize your progress as you work through your plan.

  • haven't looked back

    My hubby and I started our weight training fitness journey with Phil and we haven't looked back! He did a very thorough fitness assessment, and set us up with functional exercises that gave us an excellent foundation without risk of injury. We both had previous chronic injuries and Phil kept careful attention on preventing repeat injury.
